Despite a leg injury at the start of the 2014 season, facing tough competition from opposing riders, crashing out in a qualifying practice session and riding in tough conditions of Assens, Marc Marquez was able to win first eight races of the 2014 Moto GP season. Considering these facts, one can surely say that it was a remarkable performance from the current Moto GP World Champion and Repsol Honda Team’s rider. Given that Marquez has not only won eight races in a row, but set new Moto GP world record too. Now Marc has set his eyes on the German Grand Prix, as it’san important race for him. If he manages to win his ninth straight race at Sachsenring circuitthen, no matter whatever his rivals will do, Marquez will wrap up the 2014 MotoGP world championship.
The 21-year old Marc has been to Sachsenring circuit on four occasions earlier, as he first visited the venue back in 2010 when he participated in the 125 cc class. Then, in 2011 and 2012 he took part in the Moto 2 racing and finally in 2013 he joined MotoGP’sRepsol Honda team to race on this track. More importantly, in all four races the Spaniard managed to cross the chequered flag in first place won. Now his current form is not bad either. Bearing these facts in mind, one can say without being biased that the odds are favouring the defending champion. If Marquez makes it nine out of nine in Germany then, he would emerge as a rider who has won each race in the opening half of the 2014 Grand Prix season.
Marquez has become the 13th best rider of all-time in terms of his victories in the Grand Prix. Also, he has recently celebrated his 40th win in Assen and now the Honda rider is looking to gain 25th premier class podium in Germany. Now it remains to be seen how well the Marquez will do in ninth round of the Moto GP world championship. The pressure will surely be there on him, as it’s a crucial race for the young Spanish rider. Moreover, his ultimate rival Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi has also sealed a new two-year deal with his team. That must have boosted the morale of the Italian rider, who was devising a plan to beat Marquez.
On the other hand, Marquez’s Honda team partner DaniPedrosa would also be looking to win the German Grand Prix. As there is a tough fight going on between him and Rossi over second position in the standings. Nevertheless, whoever among the two riders finishes first at Sachsenring circuit, they still would not be able to come close to Marquez in terms of point. As the Spaniard has already gained a mammoth 72 points lead over Rossi and Pedrosa. Just as J&S Accessories has gain a big lead over other motorcycle stores in the UK by offering clothing and accessories of top brands at retail price to bikers.
