There are many young riders who love to follow the footsteps of nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, when it comes to racing. However, Forward Yamaha rider AleixEspargaro decided to follow the experienced rider in another way. The leader of the open class MotoGP has decided to launch his own Moto3 RBA Racing Teamin next year’s world championship. This means that now there will be two current Moto GP riders, who have entered their teams in the feeder class. Given that Rossi has already announced his VR46 team during this season in association with Francesco Bagnaia and Romano Fenati.
On the other hand, Espargaro has already enjoyed a successful run in the Spanish Moto3 championship and now he is looking to put his team to the test. That has already contested in the 2014 CEV season, where it secured fifth place in the hunt for title with Gabriel Rodrigo. This was the biggest success of the RBA Racing Team that is also known as Boe41 Motorsport. Now that Espargaro has decided to enter the team in next year’s championship, so it seems that bona fide rider Rodrigo will also remain with RBA Racing till 2015 as per Marca.com’s report.
The second rider who will ride the KTN machines of the team is yet to be announced. However, the way things are shaping up its likely that Boe41 Motorsport will soon announce the name ofthe second rider too. Nevertheless, with this announcement Aleix has joined the long list of riders who have launched their own teams in the feeder class, but to the extent his own future in MotoGP is concerned it is still uncertain.
Owing to the fact that Espargaro has yet to sign a 2015 contract with a team and rumours have indicated that the Spanish rider may end up signing with the Suzuki team. That is looking to make a comeback in the premier class racing from next season. His young brother Pol Espargaro, who is the current Moto2 champion, will stick with Tech3 Yamaha for the time being.
Currently, Aleix holds the number sixth position in the overall standings of 2014 MotoGP season with 77 points. During the season he has managed to finish fourth and sixth in Dutch and German Grand Prix respectively. Now it remains to be seen how the young Spaniard will perform in the second half of the season, as it will determine whether he can hold on to the sixth position or not.
