Nicky Hayden to Miss The Race at Misano But Hopes to Return in Aragon

It is now finally confirmed that Drive M7 Aspar star rider Nicky Hayden is not going to take part in the next round of the 2014 MotoGP at Misano. The American rider confirmed this in his recent You Tube video message. However, Hayden also said that he hoping to return to the track by the time premier class racers will be getting ready to race at Aragon.

The 2006 MotoGP World Champion has been working to regain his fitness after he struggled in the most part of the current season due to issues with his right wrist. As a result, Hayden has to undergo the knife twice. The second surgical operation on his wrist saw removal of small bones, so its mobility could be increased.

Nicky said in his video message that definitely he will miss the race in Misano, but he is looking to make a comeback in Aragon. He also revealed that he had ridden the bike over flat track on the dirt a day before recording this message in order to give some feedback to his doctors. He continued by saying that although he is not yet fit enough to ride a premier class bike, but his fitness level is certainly improving.

Hayden also said that he is not feeling a lot of pain now. So now their aim is to gain the strength and movement back, said Nicky. Explaining the reason behind his long break from the racing, the rider from US said that besides having one big surgical operation on his wrist, he also had a small operation on his hand before that. As a result, his arm and wrist got weak, said Hayden.

The frustrating rider said that he do not like to stay out of races and also do not think that he is spending summer vacations at home. According to Hayden, he has been working quite closely with his physicians and taken care of everything that they had asked him to do, including physical therapy and rehab.

Adding to it, Nicky said that during his time at home he managed to keep his training going and it has become more intense in the past two weeks and that is improving his condition. So he is feeling better with every passing day, said Hayden.

The 33-year old rider did not forget to talk about his replacement, Leon Camier, on this occasion, as he said that Leon has been doing well in his absence, but he misses his team and being at the racing track. Hayden said that he is in touch with his team and is keenly looking forward to see everyone at Aragon.

This means that Camier has got another chance to prove his brilliance, as he failed to score a point for Drive M7 in the British Grand Prix unlike the race in Czech Republic.
