Jorge Lorenzo Tastes His First Victory of 2014 as Marquez, and Rossi Crashes at Aragon

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo finally get to taste the victory, as he won the 14th round of the 2014 MotoGP season on Sunday, Sept 28th at Aragon. With NGM Forward Racing’s Aleix Espargaro and Ducati Team’s Cal Crutchlow finishing second and third respectively to step on the podium for the first time in the season. Jorge took the victory by 10 seconds margin by making a wise decision of switching to wet-setup bike before others, when just four laps were left in the rain-effected race.

Lorenzo was pretty ecstatic over the victory, as the chaotic race saw too many crashes. Valentino Rossi and Andrea Iannone were one of these riders, as they went down in the early stages of the race when it was dry. Then in the final stages of the race, when rain started to pour down Repsol Honda pair Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa suffered crashes.

Fortunately, both Marc and Dani were able to re-join the raceand they managed to finish in the 13th and 14th place after eventually switching to their wet bikes. The duo went down because they took the risk of sticking with the slick tyres in wet condition. Marquez and Dani’s crash paved the way for Lorenzo’s victory as there was no one left to give in a tough fight.

However, MotoGP get to saw a great battle between British rider Crutchlow and Spain’s Espargaro. That battle was won by Aleix, as he managed to outstrip Cal in the last few moments of the race by crossing the chequered flag in second place. The fourth place was gained by LCR Honda MotoGP’s Stefan Bradl, whilst the fifth position was occupied by Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Bradley Smith.

Smith got hold of the fifth place after a tough fight with his teammate Pol Espargaro. Bradley crossed the finish line just 0.203s before Pol to round the top five. The remaining five positions were seized by GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista, Drive M7 Aspar’s Hiroshi Aoyama and Nicky Hayden and GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Scott Redding.

Crutchlow’s teammate Andrea Dovizioso, who was performing consistently during this season, also suffered a crash at Aragon before he could switch his dry-setup bike with the wet one. Dovizioso was then taken to a hospital in order to check hip trauma. The rain forced riders to switch to wet-setup machines as it started to come down heavily in the final stages of the competition.

Rossi was also taken to the medical centre after the crash, as he suffered a concussion. However, a CT scan of his skull ruled out any chances of bleeding in the brain. In fact, now there is nothing to worry about as the MotoGP medical director Michele Zasa said in a statement that Valentino has recovered well.

It’s the high quality motorcycle gear and helmet of Rossi which protected him from any serious injuries. Especially, after finishing 15ht at Misano as the youngest MotoGP World Champion crashed his bike when he was in hot pursuit of eventual race winner Valentino Rossi. However, now he is looking to make amends as addressing the media at the press meeting before the race in Aragon, Marc said that at Misano they were not prepared to fight for the victory. Nevertheless, he still made an effort because he was looking to win his second world championship title in front of home crowd at Aragon, but it didn’t happen, said Marquez.

Now he believes that they just need to concentrate on winning the championship and manage the advantage. The Spaniard continued by saying that now here they are at one of his favourite tracks, in fact, which we can call his most favourite track. Because he really likes to ride in Aragon and he loves the layout as well, Marc explained. Thus, Marquez is confident that he will continue to do well in Aragon. In contrast, Marquez’s partner Dani Pedrosa will look to save his second position in the standings, as Rossi is just 1 point behind him now. That’s’ not all, another challenge for Dani is to finish the race in Aragon as during last in the circuit Pedrosa’s bike got crashed when Marquez unintentionally nudged his bike. Dani will now be looking to make a fresh start by erasing that memory.

During the press meeting Pedrosa said that track in Aragaon is good and he enjoys racing on it. He also said that the corners in the track are also quite nice, but there is a chance that bike will slide a little on it. Overall he thinks that the circuit is interesting and they have to try their best at the weekend, as Rossi is gaining on them. Therefore, Pedrosa said that they need to grab as many points as they can on Sunday and give their fans something more to cheer.

The winner of Misano race, Rossi was also present at the pre-even conference and he was looking in good spirit. Speaking to the press the Italian rider said that the victory was amazing as they were waited for it a long time. He said that he had a great time after the race in Misano, as he celebrated the victory with his friends and family members which doubled their jubilation.

On this occasion, Valentino also revealed that they had made an important change to the bike at the last weekend to improve the pace and setting of the machine. The doctor admitted that the Misano track helps M1 that is why they perform well at the circuit. However, now they have to compare their level in Aragon, so they are more focused and pushing really hard.

Valentino’s partner Jorge Lorenzo, who is still in search of his first victory of 2014 season, said that it’s not too good to win a race after securing so many second places. Still Jorge believes that second position is not too bad because they participating in MotoGP and every rider come here to win the race. Lorenzo said that he wants to register a win this year, but it’s not that easy. He also said that they getting stronger with every race, but the wrong tyre choice in Misano have dented their efforts and they need to learn from it. Jorge confessed that track in Aragon does not help them much, but they had conducted a good test here and also had a good race during 2013 season, so they will fight.

Pramac Racing’s Andrew Iannone also had a pretty impressive season so far and now he is gearing up to take part in round 14 of the 2014 MotoGP season. The Pramac rider said at the event that he had good memories of this track as he had done well here when he was in Moto2. According to Andrea, the track is very technical and fast but he will try his best to do well here.

Iannone said that he will get two bikes on this weekend GP14 and the GP14.2. He said that he had tested the new bike back in Mugello, but at that time he was not able to compare the two machines, but on Friday, Sept 26 he will try to do that in order to see which one is better.

However, you don’t need to do any comparisons when you are looking to buy motorcycle clothing and accessories from J&S Accessories, as it only stocks the best quality products at its stores.

Australian Rider Jack Miller Creates History by Signing MotoGP Deal

The reigning Moto3 world champion Jack Miller has made a history on Thursday, Sept 18, when he revealed that Miller has signed a deal with LCR Honda MotoGP team. With this announcement, the 19-year old Australian rider has become the first racer who has moved to the premier class racing by skipping Moto2. Now the teenager will ride LCR Honda’s RC213V-RS Open Specification bike in 2015 whilst the experienced British rider Cal Crutchlow will be his teammate. This means Miller will get to learn a lot from Crutchlow, who although did not have a very good season so far with Ducati.
Talking about the deal Miller said that his dream has come true with this deal and he think that every rider wants to race at the top level in the world championship with Honda. Jack also acknowledged on this occasion that it’s surely a big move, jumping from Moto3 to MotoGP, but he was positive that they are ready and by learning every day and taking one step at a time, they will able to do a good job.

However, before that Miller has to compete in the remaining five rounds of the 2014 season with his current team KTM that was once his fellow Australian Casey Stoner’s team. In fact, Jack has taken the same route which Casey had once taken, as he also joined LCR Honda in MotoGP after riding with the for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. Therefore, today many compare Miller with Stoner.
Crutchlow recognize this fact as he expects Miller to be a tough challenger in the upcoming seasons of the premier class racing. Sharing his views, the British racer said that no doubt Miller is a very special talent and he is hopeful that Jack will be able to show his true flair on the bigger bike as well.

Cal was not the only MotoGP rider who has praised Miller, as nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi has also showed his support for the Moto3 champion. The Movistar Yamaha rider said that he likes Jack very much and he also likes his attitude a lot both on and off the track, so he believes that Miller can lead a good career in the years to come.

The best part about the deal is that LCR Honda has no short term plans for Miller. Shedding light on it CWM LCR Team Principal, Lucio Cecchinello said that Miller will surely be a strong performer in the future premier class races because he is indubitably talented, energetic and motivated. Now with Honda we will try our best to get him acquainted with the premier class bit by bit, said Lucio.
The team Principal also admitted on this occasion that they know that it will take Jack some time to know how to ride 1000cc bike, but they are not in hurry and they take next year just as a learning season for the teenage rider in the new class. Adding to it, Cecchinello said that Honda has long term plans for Miller and they will not put him under any pressure so he could show his true skills in MotoGP.
However, J&S Accessories’ motorcycle helmets, clothing, shoes, gloves and accessories show you their real quality when they are put to test. It is then you will realize what a great value for money these motorcycle accessories and clothing of J&S Accessories are.

Special New Helmet Helps Valentino Rossi Win the San Marino Grand Prix

The Misano circuit that is located just a few kilometres away from Valentino Rossi’s home has an especial place in his heart for two reasons. The unbelievable love of the local fans and familiarity with the track because it was at Misano where Rossi originally started riding. So when MotoGP arrived in his home town, Rossi decided to show his love for the place by using a special helmet. The nine-time world champion hit the track with this especial helmet during FP3 and dedicated it to the home race.

This love for the home race also reflected during the competition in Misano as Rossi made a belligerent start to the race and gained the lead in the early laps. After which no other rider, including Marc Marquez, was able to snatch the lead from him even for a single second. Until Valentino eventually went on to win his first race of the 2014 season. That left just one thing on everyone’s mind, the new carbon helmet PistaGP proved really lucky for Rossi.

Though, it’s not clear at this point in time whether the doctor will use the lucky helmet in the upcoming rounds or not. However, the words printed on both sides of the carbon helmet PistaGP were absolutely clear, which reads “Misano ci dà una mano”. Meaning "Misano helps you" and boy did Misano really helped Rossi in winning the race. In fact, Valentino is the only rider after Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa who has won a race, as Marquez has won the remaining 11 rounds.

Rossi printed these words on the helmet because he is well connected with his roots and homeland. However, the words are not the only thing that makes his helmet so special, as it also include marks of people and animals which are close to him. Yes that’s right true. The custom-made helmet boasts the handprints of Movistar Yamaha team’s mechanics, his beloved cat Rossano along with his two dogs Cecilia and Cesare.

The helmet also has lip marks of his girlfriend Linda and mother Stefania. Last but certainly not the least Rossi’s best friend and designer, Aldo Drud also has his handprints on the helmet. Drudi was the person who has supported Valentino throughout his career, especially with such creative experiences. That is why Rossi did not forget to take his handprints on the new helmet.

Since all these unique marks were printed in different bright colours so together they have given the helmet a unique and striking look. You will certainly not be able to buy this helmet, but the extensive variety of helmets available at J&S Accessories store will definitely make your mouth water.

Circuit of Wales Announces Donington Park as the Alternate Venue for 2015 British MotoGP

When 2014 British Grand Prix come to an end at Silverstone, a lot of motorcycle racing enthusiasts were interested in knowing, where the next British MotoGP will take place. These enthusiasts finally got their answer on Tuesday, September 2nd. When, Dorna Sports and the Circuit of Wales announced that Donington Park will host the 2015 British Motorcycle Grand Prix as an alternate venue. On this occasion the representative of the Circuits of Wales, Chris Herring said while talking to the media three weeks ago when they announced 5-year deal with MotoGP, both the Circuit of Wales and Dorna agreed to find a venue for 2015.

Adding to it, Herring said that it is in the best interest of everyone, particularly the fans, to reach a decision as early as possible and in the form of Donington Park now they have a venue that shares their vision of growing MotoGP in the United Kingdom.
Originally it’s the Circuit of Wales that has to host the British Grand Prix from next year according to the 5-year deal with MotoGP that is starting from 2015 and includes a further 5-year extension option. However, since the construction of Circuit of Wales is yet to begin and it may not be finished till the time next MotoGP race will take place in the UK. Therefore, the Circuit of Wales decided to find another venue for 2015 before the race moves to the new circuit in 2016.

The CEO of Dorna, Carmelo Ezpeleta said on this occasion that the Circuit of Wales has really work hard to quickly seize the best deal for the MotoGP fans in the UK and they believe that Donington Park will prove a fantastic race venue for 2015. Ezpeleta also said that Donington Park has hosted some of the most thrilling MotoGP races in past few years and they are certain that the extensive work done at the venue since it has reopened about four years ago will guarantee a fantastic event.
Now the only thing left is the announcement of the date for the 2015 British Grand Prix and it is expected to be declared sometime later during this month. The Donington Park has hosted MotoGP races for 23 years staring from 1987 to 2009.

With this announcement the hopes of the Silverstone executives have finally come to an end as they were looking to keep the MotoGP till the next season.

Reacting to the announcement the managing director of Silverstone Circuits Ltd, Richard Phillips said that they had made heavy investment in the facilities and the Silverstone circuit, especially to host the premier class racing as they have developed the British MotoGP into an extremely successful event. Philips continued by saying that they were very keen to keep MotoGP here as they cannot afford to subsidize it. So they are very disappointed for not hosting the 2015 British MotoGP.
Richard also said that they made their best and sensible offer to keep the event at Silverstone, but it appears that the Circuits of Wales that has no experience in hosting a Grand Prix event have decided to run it themselves by using Donington Park as alternate circuit until their venue gets ready. Philips said that in last five years Silverstone has taken the British MotoGP race to all-new level, so they anticipate that this move would not turn out to be a regressive step.

One cannot predict how successful the Circuit of Wales will remain in hosting the British MotoGP, but one thing is for certain that riders will get high quality motorcycle accessories and clothing at unbeatable prices from J&S Accessories.

British Rider Scott Redding’s Personal Manager Reveals His Clients Options for 2015

Scott Redding of the GO&FUN Honda Gresini team was the only English rider in the British Grand Prix, who was able to finish the race among the top ten riders. The runner up of the 2013 Moto2 class managed to secure the 10th position at the Silverstone on August 31, Sunday which enabled him to earn valuable points for his team. Thus far Redding has a good 2014 MotoGP season as he remained the best classified Open Honda RCV1000R racer on several occasions. Since Scott was promoted to the premier class race category for the current campaign. In spite of it, it is still not clear whether the British rider will be able to have the factory Honda RC213V bike for next season.

Answering this question, Scott’s personal manager and the Team Principal of the Marc VDS Racing Team, Michael Bartholemy said that there is still a slight chance that the Englishman may get the factory Honda bike for next year. However, there are few things that needs to be finalized before Scott gets new bike for next season, as Bartholemy explained that on July 31st they receive the confirmation from both Honda and Gresini about the factory bike that put them in a position which they always wanted to be. Bartholemy said that this is why they had signed with Gresini Honda so they were quite pleased.

However, after a few days Fausto of Gresini told them that due to some financial issues in next season he is not sure whether he will be able to afford a new factory Honda bike or not, said Michael. The personal manager of Redding said that after this revelation the problem started a little bit. At that point in time, (Livio) Suppo, HRC and (Shuhei) Nakamoto assured them that Scott will get the new factory Honda bike during next year, but they have yet to decide where this machine will actually run, said Bartholemy.

Adding to it the Team Principal said that he believe that they are in talks with Aspar and Lucio Cecchinello of LCR Honda MotoGP, also they had made an offer to them as well. So for slightly over a week time we have an offer for the bike, said Bartholemy. Answering the question about the possible outcome of the talks and whether there is chance that Marc VDS Racing Team will move into the premier class and reunite with Scott to provide finance for his Honda RC213V bike, Bartholemy said that he have no clue what is the situation with Aspar and Lucio.

However, after they got this offer from HRC he met with Marc van der Straten of Marc VDS Racing Team and he wanted to help Scott, but he does not want to cover it entirely, said Bartholemy. Still he was extremely grateful to Marc as Bartholemy said that the help Straten has offered them for the next three years on such a short notice was really commendable because no other person would have done that for them, so hats off to him. Nevertheless, they do not have everything to have the bike during next season, said Michael.

The personal manger of Redding also revealed on this occasion that besides this there are two factories that are keen to get Scott on their machine for next two years. In addition, they also have another team that is interested in acquiring their services for 2016, but for next year they would have to adjust him in another team, said Michael. He also said that though these things are happening little late but Redding is still in demand and lot of people are interested in having him. So now they just have to see what Honda will bring to the table, said Bartholemy.

In the meantime, you can visit J&S Accessories’ online shop and avail some amazing deals on high performance motorcycle helmets, gears and accessories.

Lorenzo made a brilliant start as he gained the lead in the early phase of the race. On the other hand, Marquez also managed to remain with the leading riders at the start of the race before he reached close to Lorenzo.
Unfortunately, Marc failed to leave Lorenzo behind in spite of having more pace as he made slight mistakes on two occasions that allowed Jorge to overtake him twice. The battle between the two riders continued till the last laps. In fact, at one stage of the race the two made a slight contact as well before Marquez finally made the move and left the Yamaha rider behind. On the other side, 7-time World Champion Rossi was chased hard by Marc’s teammate Pedrosa and Dovizioso, but the doctor never allowed them to outstrip him and seized the third position. The doctor also made a new record of 246 starts in MotoGP by racing at the Silverstone circuit.

Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Pol Espargaro also produced a solid result as he was the sixth rider to cross the chequered flag. LCR Honda MotoGP’s Stefan Bradl, Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone, NGM Forward Racing’s Aleix Espargaro finished seventh, eighth and ninth respectively. While, Scotting Redding of GO&FUN Honda Gresini was the only British rider who finished among the top ten riders as he crossed the line in tenth place. The other three British riders partaking in the competition were not as impressive as Redding was.
Cal Crutchlow of Ducati finished 12th, Leon Camier of Drive M7 Aspar remained 16th, while Bradley Smith of Monster Yamaha Tech3 was 22nd. GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista failed to turn his dream into reality as he crashed in the last phase of the race and failed to finish among the top ten riders. However, you can turn your dream into reality by purchasing a high quality motorcycle helmet, gear or accessory at unbelievable prices from J&S Accessories’ store.
