William Dunlop was third behind Cummins on the second of the BMW Tyco while Russ Mountford was a surprise leader of the second row of the grid, ahead of Ian Hutchinson and Keith Love. 2014 winner Bruce Anstey was back in eleventh, while Michael Dunlop was fourteenth when he changes Buildbase BMW.
In the combined session for racing national support and challenge, it was a British Supersport favorite Glenn Irwin who led the timesheets in the Gearlink Kawasaki, ahead of Connor Behan and Timothy Elwood, while veteran racer Paul Owen was first class 250GP, while Christian Elkin was the fastest of the combined 125GP and Moto3 machines.
The day was brought to a premature end by causing low visibility fog in the higher elevation sections of the track, and will mean a death warrant rescheduled for tomorrow after the SuperTwin Machines, supersport and superstock lost their practice.
